Colombia Reserva Del Patron

The Reserva del Patron was the first full bag of coffee I ever bought when I started roasting. Tim Castle, former President of the Special Coffee Association of America, recommended it. It blew me away, love at first taste. I bought that bag, and now it's back. Some coffees are prized for their blueberry, starfruit, or marzipan flavors. Not this coffee; it is simple, pure, and rich. Mouthfeel is thick and buttery, with hints of browned butter and turbinado sugar, and nothing distracts. Look in the dictionary under coffee, you'll find the Reserva. Simply awesome, and it makes a fine shot of Single Origin espresso (I have several customers that prefer it over all else for espresso!).
